Caddie Program

The Omaha Country Club caddie program enjoys a rich heritage dating back to the Club’s inception in 1899.
Caddying at OCC is as important today as it's ever been. Over the years, thousands of young men and women have risen to the challenge of becoming an OCC caddie and have learned the importance of personal development, discipline and academic achievement.

The annual Caddie Alumni Invitational supports the Kevin O'Connor Scholarship Fund. If you are a former caddie of the Omaha Country Club and wish to be a member of the Caddie Alumni Association and participate in the Invitational, or you would like more information on becoming a caddie at Omaha Country Club, please contact Dominick Mitchum at 402-571-7470 or dmitchum@omahacc.org

March 2026

Welcome to the Omaha Country Club!

The caddie program at Omaha Country Club is over 100 years old and the tradition of the program is something that the club takes great pride in. If you wish to be a caddie at Omaha Country Club, you must be willing to act in a manner that will reflect positively on you, the program, and Omaha Country Club. All caddies of Omaha Country Club are independent contractors and the relationship of the caddie, and the program may be terminated by either party at any time.

New Caddies must be 14 years of age by May 31, 2026. Each new caddie must complete a training session and test loop and score 80% or higher on the exam. There are a limited number of spots available so you MUST pre-register in person at Omaha Country Club. Exceptions may be granted by the Director of Caddies.

All new caddies must go through training, pass the written test and the test loop before they are eligible to caddie. There will have a maximum of 4 trainees for each session. The session will start at 4pm (DATES NOT SET YET). The first loop will be with a staff member or current caddie. The test will be pass or fail. The caddie will learn expectations during the training session.

Training Loops will be available as soon as the golf course opens. The Director of Caddies will reach out to the caddies to assign training dates, once the golf course opens.

If you have any questions regarding the program, please email me at dmitchum@omahacc.org or call me at 402-571-7470.

Sincerely,

Dominick Mitchum, PGA
Head Golf Professional
Director of Caddies
